Declares an emergency, effective July 1, 2025. A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to port dredging; and declaring an emergency. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropri- ated to the Oregon Business Development Department, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025, out of the General Fund, the following amounts for distribution to the following recip- ients to carry out dredging projects in channels and marinas that are not maintained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, provided that recipients either use a dredge owned by the recipient or obtain a quote for dredging services using the dredge owned by the State of Oregon: (1) Port of Brookings Harbor: $50,000. (2) Port of Bandon: $225,000. (3) Port of Newport: $750,000. (4) Port of Astoria: $381,373. (5) Oregon International Port of Coos Bay: $350,000. (6) Port of Garibaldi: $400,000. SECTION 2. This 2025 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2025 Act takes effect July 1, 2025.
