Relates to unlawful tenancies under the emergency tenant protection act of 1974; prohibits owners from entering or renewing leases where such owner has reason to know that such tenant will not occupy the housing accommodation as his or her primary residence.
Relates to requiring a medical facility or related service to obtain express prior written consent before filming and/or broadcasting of visual images of a patient's medical treatment.
Enacts the "Tax-free debt forgiveness act"; excludes certain student loan forgiveness amounts authorized under 20 U.S.C. Sections 1098aa, 1098bb, 1098cc, 1098dd or 1098ee from state income tax.
Requires potable water testing at state and local parks at least once every three years and any finding of lead contamination must be abated within ninety days.
Prohibits state reimbursement of campaign and political committees, or legal defense funds, for payments made on behalf of the criminal or civil defense of a state employee.
Provides that the period of immunity from prosecution for a criminal or civil action that a defendant is entitled to by virtue of holding the office of president of the United States shall not apply to the calculation of the time limitation applicable to commencement of such actions.
Relates to owner liability for failure of operator to comply with bus operation-related local law or regulation traffic restrictions and to the adjudication of certain parking infractions; extends provisions relating to a bus rapid transit demonstration program to restrict the use of bus lanes by means of bus lane photo devices.
Prohibits the sale of lithium-ion batteries used in micromobility devices, bicycles with electric assist or limited use motorcycles unless such batteries are manufactured in accordance with certain standards and specifications; provides a civil penalty; authorizes district attorneys, county attorneys, and corporation counsel to have concurrent authority to seek the relief.
Provides for the protection of health information; establishes requirements for communications to individuals about their health information; requires either written consent or a designated necessary purpose for the processing of an individual's health information.
Authorizes the commissioner of taxation and finance to revoke the certificate of registration of the sale of adult-use cannabis; increases certain penalties relating to the sale of illicit cannabis; authorizes the commissioner of taxation and finance and the duly authorized representatives of the office of cannabis management to provide enforcement; makes it a class A misdemeanor for a distributor of adult-use cannabis products or a retail seller of adult-use cannabis products to sell any such products while not registered to do so.
