Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 1984, this Representative graduated from Bishop Canevin High School in 2002, before attending the United States Naval Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2006. Following his graduation, he served in the United States Navy from 2006 to 2012. After his military service, he pursued a law degree at Georgetown University, which he received in 2013. His professional career has included working as a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and practicing law in private sectors. He has also served as a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh. He was elected as a Democrat to the 118th Congress, taking office on January 3, 2023.
