Relating to Blount County; to provide for a new court cost to fund payments to employees of the sheriff's office who perform hazardous duties; and conditioning operation on voter approval at a referendum.

To amend Section 17-3-8, Code of Alabama 1975, as last amended by Act 2022-112 of the 2022 Regular Session, relating to meeting days of boards of registrars; to increase the number of working days that the Blount County Board of Registrars may meet each week.

Relating to volunteer fire departments; to amend Sections 9-3-11, 9-3-12, and 9-3-13, Code of Alabama 1975, to create and provide duties and procedures for the Rural and Community Fire Protection Advisory Committee; and to add Section 9-3-21 to the Code of Alabama 1975, to create and provide procedures for administration of the Rural and Community Fire Protection Development and Improvement Grant Program.
