Biography

Diana Harshbarger is a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Tennessee's 1st congressional district. She was born on January 1, 1960, in Kingsport, Tennessee. After graduating from Ketron High School in 1978, she pursued a career in pharmacy, earning her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1987. Prior to her political career, she was a pharmacist and a business owner.

Since her election to Congress in January 2021, Rep. Harshbarger has cultivated a legislative portfolio that emphasizes healthcare, transparency in government, and economic stability.
