Requires that public schools provide instruction on climate change, including but not limited to identifying the causes and impacts of climate change on individuals, environments and communities, and learning to evaluate solutions.
Relates to conditional release for eligible offenders who complete post-secondary degrees or programs; provides release twelve months before the completion of the controlling minimum period of imprisonment for eligible offenders who complete post-secondary degrees or programs.
Establishes a jobs and housing pilot program to create jobs in the construction industry and address the housing crisis by developing or redeveloping housing that is affordable to individuals earning up to one hundred thirty percent of the area median income, adjusted for family size.
Relates to licensing tenant screening bureaus; provides that no person shall act as a tenant screening bureau without first obtaining a license from the department of state.
Requires any public school located in a city with a population of one million or more to offer a remote learning option to all primary and secondary students when such public school is located in a county determined by the federal centers for disease control and prevention to have a substantial or high level of community transmission of any illness deemed by the federal centers for disease control and prevention to be an outbreak.
Prohibits the use of drilling fluids, brine and flowback water from gas or oil wells, pools, or fields on any highway for any purpose including but not limited to de-icing or dust suppression.
Provides protections for telecommunications tower technicians, including requiring certain trainings during work hours without a loss of pay; requires certain reporting by bidders for telecommunication contracts.
Enacts the "private well testing act"; authorizes the department of health to promulgate rules and regulations to establish standards for the testing of drinking water from privately owned wells.
Relates to the confidentiality and expungement of records in juvenile delinquency cases in the family court; requires certain records to be expunged automatically.
