Jasmine Crockett is a serving member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Texas's 30th Congressional District. Born on March 29, 1981, in St. Louis, Missouri, she is a graduate of the Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School and earned her Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes College in 2003. Crockett attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law and subsequently earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2006. Before entering federal office, she practiced law and served as a public defender in Bowie County, Texas from 2007 to 2010. Crockett was elected to the Texas State House of Representatives, serving from 2021 to 2023, before being elected to the U.S. Congress on January 3, 2023.

As a member of Congress, Crockett currently serves on several committees, including the Judiciary Committee, the Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement, and the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, as well as the Health Care and Financial Services Subcommittee.
