Authorizes Sergeant Angela Anderson to receive certain service credit under a twenty year retirement plan for service with the Seneca Falls Police Department.
Enacts the "Seneca county water and sewer authority act"; establishes the Seneca county water and sewer authority district and the Seneca county water and sewer authority.
Grants school districts the ability to implement telehealth school-based mental health clinics; establishes the student mental telehealth reimbursement fund; relates to funding the student mental telehealth reimbursement fund.
Authorizes and directs the commissioner of transportation to conduct a study on the feasibility of removing all existing 3-cable guide rails on New York roadways and replacing such guide rails with safer alternatives; requires a report to be submitted to the governor, the temporary president of the senate, the speaker of the assembly, the minority leader of the senate, and the minority leader of the assembly containing the findings and recommendations for legislative or other actions.
Provides for the revocation of licenses to sell cigarettes, tobacco products, alcohol and lottery tickets for the possession or sale of illicit cannabis in violation of the cannabis law.
Waives the registration fee and service charge for distinctive plates for volunteer firefighters and members of volunteer ambulance services where the applicant has attended twenty-five percent or more of the emergency calls for the previous year.
Establishes the shovel-ready housing program under which certain municipalities, at their option, may pre-authorize parcels of property for the construction of housing; establishes a shovel-ready community tax rebate for taxpayers residing in municipalities that opt-in to the shovel-ready housing program; provides for annual apportionment to municipalities that have certified participation in the shovel-ready housing program.
Allows advanced emergency medical technicians to order certain controlled substances for use by a person with a substance use disorder to relieve acute withdrawal symptoms.
Relates to permitting certain not-for-profit corporations engaged in engineering for certain conservation efforts to do business or provide professional engineering, land surveying, or professional geology services in the state.
Provides that the payment of interest on an education loan and Roth IRA deposits shall be qualified withdrawals under the New York state college choice tuition savings program.
