Authorizes a member to obtain up to three years of service credit for prior paid police service within the United States with an accredited police agency outside of the state of New York; requires a member to have at least five years of credited service to be eligible to receive such credit.
Relates to a podiatry study and report by the commissioner of education, in consultation with the commissioner of health on the implementation of chapter 438 of the laws of 2012, as amended, authorizing the issuance of a privilege to perform podiatric standard or advanced ankle surgery and the impact of granting such a privilege on access to and quality of podiatric ankle surgery; makes related provisions.
Establishes a statewide program to provide free SUNY, CUNY, and community college tuition to active volunteer firefighters, volunteer emergency medical services providers, and volunteer auxiliary police officers.
Allows for individuals to enroll in the national marrow donor program at the time of application for or renewal of a driver's license or non-driver identification card; directs the commissioner of motor vehicles to establish a process by which the department of motor vehicles shall refer driver's license and non-driver identification card applicants who consent to having their information shared with the national marrow donor program for the purposes of receiving information from the national marrow donor program about enrolling as a potential volunteer bone marrow or blood cell donor on the national registry operated by the national marrow donor program.
Establishes the "broadband deployment assistance act"; requires that substantially similar permits for broadband deployment be processed together at the same time and on an expedited basis; defines terms; authorizes municipalities to simultaneously process certain broadband permit applications that are substantially similar.
Requires all newly-constructed electric vehicle charging stations available for public use which are capable of accepting payment to accept all major credit cards.
Authorizes the election of qualified transportation fringe benefits; authorizes any employer to offer employees the opportunity to use pre-tax earnings for the purchase of qualified transportation fringe benefits.
Relates to the availability of opioid reversal agents; requires the department of health to make available any formulation and dosage of opioid reversal agents approved by the federal food and drug administration.
Requires the display of certain labels and warnings on gas stoves sold, displayed for sale, or offered for sale at retail to a consumer in this state; authorizes the department of state to adopt regulations regarding the placement and format of such labels; provides for penalties; authorizes the attorney general to enforce such provisions.
Establishes the interagency elder justice task force consisting of representatives of state agencies whose work involves elder justice to create greater collaboration and develop overarching strategies, systems, and programs with a goal of protecting older adults from abuse and mistreatment.
