Modifies the summons for eviction for reasons other than nonpayment of rent with the district court, to add a certificate of service section, and provides the option to post the summons/complaint conspicuously on door of the defendant/tenant's dwelling.
Prohibits any city or town or licensing authority from charging more than forty dollars ($40.00) for any license or permit to carry a concealed weapon.
Establishes concurrent jurisdiction between the Rhode Island Family Court and the Federal Government for the purposes of adjudicating minors who have allegedly committed a crime while residing on a military installation located in Rhode Island.
Includes the general assembly elections within the category of elections subject to the risk-limiting audits within the jurisdiction of the board of elections.
Amends the current law on workers' compensation to require any person who is considered an independent contractor to file annually with the director of labor and training and removes the requirement that the form be in writing.
Expands the definition of correctional officer, to include any bargaining unit, in which correctional officers constitute a majority of the bargaining unit's membership.
Requires employer provide employee with written quota descriptions/number of task/item production along with potential adverse employment action for failure to meet quotas/ provides employee protection against quotas/ remedies for violations.
