Permits award of crime victim assistance funds to victims of overdoses, where such overdoses cause death and were the result of deception, surreptitious delivery, or third-party administration of a controlled substance.
Authorizes the commissioner of health to adopt policies to exclude certain non-recurring items from income that would artificially inflate the availability of funds to meet current needs relating to eligibility for the program for elderly pharmaceutical insurance coverage.
Directs the board of education or the board of trustees of each school district shall establish a policy and adopt procedures permitting the district to confer a diploma on a student posthumously if, at the time of death, such student had completed the eleventh grade class of a public school in the district and was enrolled or expected to be enrolled in the twelfth grade class within the same public school district the following school year.
Requires the submission of certain information by a dentist as part of such dentist's triennial registration to enable the department of health to evaluate access to needed services in the state.
Requires the county sheriff to oversee an annual jail staffing analysis and provide a report to the commission of corrections and community supervision and give the public the opportunity to view the statistics of their local county jail.
Requires health care plans and payors to have a minimum of twelve and one-half percent of their total expenditures on physical and mental health annually be for primary care services.
Includes xylazine and other substances in the definition of drug adulterant testing supplies for the purposes of the dispensing of such supplies by health care professionals or pharmacists to any person.
Requires written notice of an adverse determination made by a utilization review agent in relation to a step therapy protocol override determination which includes the clinical review criteria relied upon to make such determination and any applicable alternative prescription drugs subject to the step therapy protocol of the utilization review agent.
Prohibits the imposition of a charge or deduction from a payment due to a health care provider because such payment is made through electronic or paper means.
