Born on April 7, 1968, in Santa Clara County, California, this politician graduated from Hanford High School in 1986 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from California State University, Fresno, in 1990. Before entering politics, they worked as a substitute teacher, sales representative, and business owner. This member served on the Happy Valley City Council from 2005 to 2010 and as the Mayor of Happy Valley from 2011 to 2018. They were also a delegate at the Republican National Convention in 2020.

Elected as a Republican to the 118th Congress, they began their term on January 3, 2023, and will serve until January 3, 2025. Following the election, they were appointed as Secretary of Labor in the Cabinet of President Donald J. Trump, a role they continue to hold, while also campaigning for reelection in 2024.
