Authorizes the county of Nassau assessor to accept an application for a real property tax exemption from 786 Muhammadi Masjid, Inc. for certain school and general taxes.
Directs the president of the civil service commission to collect health care claims data relating to the price and utilization of hospital benefits by active employees, retired employees and their dependents and to publish a New York State health benefit plan hospital pricing report.
Authorizes Ministerio Sion New York, Inc. to retroactively apply for a real property tax exemption for the 2022-2023 school year and 2023 general taxes for certain property located at 97 New Hyde Park Road in the hamlet of Franklin Square, town of Hempstead, county of Nassau.
Eliminates the requirement that when the board of education enters into a piggyback contract with another school district that transports students pursuant to a contract with a private transportation contractor, the board finds that the entry into the piggyback contract will result in a cost savings to the school district.
Authorizes the commissioner of human rights to enforce provisions relating to real estate brokers and unlawful discriminatory practices; awards compensatory damages to the aggrieved person; assesses a civil penalty to vindicate the public interest; makes related provisions.
Includes doulas as medical services providers for Medicaid recipients; directs the commissioner of health to submit an application for amendments and waivers to add doulas to such coverage pursuant to section 363-e of the social services law; directs the commissioner of health and the commissioner of the office of children and family services to add, amend and/or repeal any rule or regulation necessary.
Requires diversity, inclusion and elimination of bias training for physicians, physician assistants and nurses as part of continuing medical education requirements; establishes such training shall be a biennial requirement.
Defines the term "mass shooting" for purposes of access to emergency funding as a shooting incident involving one or more firearms, rifles or shotguns during which four or more people, other than the individual or individuals alleged to have committed such incident, were injured or killed.
Establishes a task force to examine, evaluate and determine the feasibility of establishing a state-funded version of SNAP; requires the task force to report its findings and a policy brief to the governor and the legislature.
Prohibits the application of pesticides to certain local freshwater wetlands for local governments that have implemented a freshwater wetlands protection law; provides that any local law or ordinance adopted pursuant to this section shall take effect on the first day of January after it shall have been adopted.
Prohibits consideration of a law of another state that authorizes a child to be removed from their parent or guardian based on the parent or guardian allowing their child to receive gender-affirming care in custody cases; prohibits law enforcement agencies from cooperating with or providing information to any individual or out-of-state agency or department regarding the provision of lawful gender-affirming care performed in this state; prohibits the issuance of a subpoena in connection with certain out-of-state proceedings relating to seeking health or related information about people who come to New York to receive gender-affirming care; prohibits the arrest of a person for performing or aiding in the lawful performance of gender-affirming care within this state; relates to the extradition of gender-affirming care providers; relates to licensure of health care providers; prohibits insurance providers from taking adverse action against a health care provider who provides gender-affirming care.
