Morgan LaMantia is a State Senator representing Texas’s Senate District 27, encompassing parts of the Rio Grande Valley and the Coastal Bend. As a sixth-generation Texan and a native of the region, she became the first woman to hold this Senate seat when she was elected in 2022. LaMantia's educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law. Prior to her election, she served as an associate attorney at Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez, LLP, and she currently acts as In-House Counsel for her family business, L&F Distributors, where she has implemented significant health care reforms for employees.
