Requires the commissioner of environmental conservation to promote education in hunting, fishing and outdoor education in high school physical education courses.
Requires the division of criminal justice services to check the wanted felon status and probation or parole violator status of people applying for public assistance.
Establishes a training wage equal to eighty-five percent of the state minimum wage or one hundred percent of the federal minimum wage, whichever is greater, that may be paid to a youth who has no prior job experience; provides that no youth may be paid a training wage for more than one hundred eighty days.
Establishes the reclaimed asphalt pavement pilot program for the purpose of utilization of reclaimed asphalt pavement in the construction or improvement of state and municipal highways or bridges.
Requires a pharmacy benefit manager to pay a participating pharmacy at minimum at the national average drug acquisition cost (NADAC) rate, or at the pharmacy acquisition cost rate if greater or there is not a NADAC rate, plus a professional dispensing fee that is at minimum the professional dispensing fee paid under the state medical assistance program.
Permits an eligible retirement system member to receive, in lieu of an ordinary death benefit, a death benefit such member would otherwise be entitled to receive provided such member is a state-paid judge or justice of the unified court system or a housing judge of the civil court of the city of New York.
Relates to the assault of physicians providing direct patient care; provides that assault of physicians shall be assault in the second degree, a class D felony.
Enacts Paige's law to provide education and awareness regarding brain arteriovenous malformation and brain aneurysms, as well as information on being a potential carrier of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, thoracic aortic aneurysms, Marfan syndrome and related disorders and genetic testing for such conditions and disorders.
Prohibits employers from retaliating against employees for confronting an individual to prevent a theft or the unlawful taking of goods, wares, or merchandise; does not prohibit employers from training or re-training employees on policies against confrontation of theft.
Requires affordable housing funded by the state be used for veterans and people with disabilities, with each group receiving five percent of such affordable housing.
