Waives the registration fee and service charge for distinctive plates for volunteer firefighters and members of volunteer ambulance services where the applicant has attended twenty-five percent or more of the emergency calls for the previous year.
Directs the commissioner of health to provide authorizations to all fiscal intermediaries that timely submit a request for authorization prior to January 1, 2026; details information required for such authorizations; makes related provisions.
Relates to allowing for students in certain postsecondary education experience or transition programs to receive awards from the tuition assistance program.
Relates to mandatory employer disclosures regarding employee compensation and benefits, including any non-salary or non-wage compensation and benefits.
Provides that the tax levy limit shall be equal to a zero percent increase over the prior year tax levy when the difference between the total amount of taxes levied for the prior year less the tax levy limit results in a negative number.
Includes temporary child care employment agencies and child care educational and training institutions as providers authorized to conduct background clearances.
Establishes the "blue-ribbon commission on the future of New York state's service delivery system for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities act" to conduct a study and prepare a report to examine, evaluate and make recommendations for systemic reforms to ensure a sustainable set of supports and services that meets the evolving needs of all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof.
Requires every board of elections to employ a minimum of four full time employees in addition to the appointed commissioners within four years and shall employ two of those full time employees within two years; and two additional employees for every twenty thousand active registered voters beyond forty thousand active registered voters.
Increases the minimum wage outside of New York city and the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester; repeals certain provisions of law relating to exceptions to minimum wage increases.
Directs the commissioner of education to provide for the proportionate availability of adequate school supplies for use by left-handed students where adequate supplies are available for use by right-handed students; applies to any school supplies and equipment purchased by the department or schools on or after the effective date of rules and regulations promulgated by the commissioner of education.
Requires the commissioner of labor to adopt regulations prescribing the methodology for establishing an annual employment statistics index which shows unemployment rates of hamlets and unincorporated villages of the state; directs such commissioner shall prepare and submit an annual report on such index.
Relates to the proper form of exhibits for submission; provides every exhibit shall be clearly identified, but no specific method of labeling shall be required.
