Biography

Born in Haleyville, Alabama, on July 22, 1965, Robert B. Aderholt has dedicated his professional life to public service. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Birmingham Southern College in 1987 and completed his Juris Doctor at Samford University in 1990. Before entering politics, Aderholt practiced law and served as a municipal judge from 1992 to 1995. His political career began in earnest when he was elected as a Republican to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. Since then, he has been re-elected to serve 14 consecutive terms, reflecting a strong base of support in his district.

As a member of Congress, Aderholt serves on several important committees, including the Appropriations Committee, which plays a vital role in determining federal spending on various programs and services, and the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Subcommittee, where he addresses issues related to natural resources and environmental management. Additionally, he is on the Subcommittee on Defense Intelligence and Overhead Architecture, which focuses on matters related to national security and intelligence.
