Amends the state's apprenticeship laws to make them more consistent with applicable federal regulations and makes said laws more comprehendible and consistent with each other.
Expands the definition of correctional officer, to include any bargaining unit, in which correctional officers constitute a majority of the bargaining unit's membership.
Eliminate all exceptions to the provision that all employees are to be paid weekly except for employees of the state and its political subdivisions, municipal governments, and non-profit organizations with less than twenty-five (25) employees.
Requires employer provide employee with written quota descriptions/number of task/item production along with potential adverse employment action for failure to meet quotas/ provides employee protection against quotas/ remedies for violations.
Exempts used vehicles sold "for parts only" or purchased at end of their lease term by the current lessee that have a valid certificate of inspection affixed to the windshield, from the requirement that dealers of used vehicles conduct a new inspection.
Relieves East Providence from providing any educational/financial resources to children in the CRAFT program or other Bradley Hospital programs. Requires the school district of origin where the student was last registered to bear this responsibility.
Provides the state's share of the basic program and approved expenditures would be paid to the city of East Providence in twelve (12) monthly installments.
Authorizes the submission of several bond proposals to the people of the state at the general election to be held in November, 2024, relating to capital development and the "cultural economy initiatives."
Requires health plans that provide prescription benefits to cover at least one type of glucagon auto-injector, nasal spray, or formulation that does not require reconstitution to treat hypoglycemia. No copayment or deductible would be required.
Mandates that all restaurants offering children's meals offer at least two (2) children's meals that complies with certain detailed nutritional standards set forth in the act.
