Ron Reynolds has served as a State Representative for Texas House District 27 since January 10, 2011. He is currently in his seventh term in the Texas House and made history as the first African American State Representative from Fort Bend County since the Reconstruction era. Throughout his tenure, he has received numerous accolades, including being named the “2021 87th Session Legislator of the Year” by Fort Bend United and The Young & the Politics, and earning recognition as “Freshman Legislator of the Year” and “Public Servant of the Year” from the Houston Minority Contractors Association.
