23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 40-8.4 of the General Laws entitled "Health Care for Families" is 1 |

24 | 24 | | hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 2 |

25 | 25 | | 40-8.4-12.1. Post Covid-19 funding. 3 |

26 | 26 | | If anyone, subject to the public health emergency (PHE) continuous coverage requirement 4 |

27 | 27 | | for Medicaid, is deemed ineligible for Medicaid solely as a result of the end of the PHE, 5 |

28 | 28 | | HealthSource RI shall automatically enroll qualified individuals who are transitioning off Medicaid 6 |

29 | 29 | | at the end of the PHE into a qualified public health plan. The department shall fund and support the 7 |

30 | 30 | | first six (6) months of a person's premiums once enrolled into the person's respective public health 8 |
