2222 It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
2323 SECTION 1. Chapter 40-8.4 of the General Laws entitled "Health Care for Families" is 1
2424 hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 2
2525 40-8.4-12.1. Post Covid-19 funding. 3
2626 If anyone, subject to the public health emergency (PHE) continuous coverage requirement 4
2727 for Medicaid, is deemed ineligible for Medicaid solely as a result of the end of the PHE, 5
2828 HealthSource RI shall automatically enroll qualified individuals who are transitioning off Medicaid 6
2929 at the end of the PHE into a qualified public health plan. The department shall fund and support the 7
3030 first six (6) months of a person's premiums once enrolled into the person's respective public health 8
3131 plan. 9
3232 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 10
