2222 It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
2323 SECTION 1. Section 37-2-22 of the General Laws in Chapter 37-2 entitled "State 1
2424 Purchases" is hereby amended to read as follows: 2

2626 Procurements, not to exceed an aggregate amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) 4
2727 twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for construction and five thousand dollars ($5,000) ten 5
2828 thousand dollars ($10,000) for all other purchases may be made in accordance with small purchase 6
2929 regulations promulgated by the chief purchasing officer. Procurement requirements shall not be 7
3030 artificially divided so as to constitute a small purchase under this section. 8
3131 SECTION 2. Section 45-55-9 of the General Laws in Chapter 45-55 entitled "Award of 9
3232 Municipal Contracts" is hereby amended to read as follows: 10
