2323 It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
2424 SECTION 1. Chapter 27-38.2 of the General Laws entitled "Insurance Coverage for Mental 1
2525 Illness and Substance Abuse" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 2
2626 27-38.2-7. Reimbursement from private insurers. 3
2727 Every individual or group health insurance contract, plan, or policy delivered, issued, or 4
2828 renewed by an insurer, health maintenance organization, nonprofit or for-profit health service 5
2929 corporation on or after January 1, 2024, that provides benefits to individual subscribers and 6
3030 members within the state, or to all group members having a principal place of employment within 7
3131 the state, shall reimburse child care service providers for therapy services offered through EOHHS 8
3232 certified Kids Connect/Therapeutic Childcare Services. 9
3333 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 10
