EXTENDING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF YASMARY ASHANTY
VALDERA

WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this House has learned of the tragic passing of 1
Yasmary Ashanty Valdera, a loving and kind-hearted young woman whose life had hardly begun; 2
and 3
WHEREAS, Born in the City of Providence, Yasmary was fortunate to have always 4
enjoyed the total love and support of her family, her mother and father, Yangtse Rosa and 5
Amaurys Valdera, her eight brothers and sisters, Amaurys Valdera Jr., Yangtse Valdera, 6
Gabrielle Valdera, Yoziah Estevez, Uriel Valdera, Vitaly Valdera, Valentino Valdera and Amari 7
Valdera her maternal grandparents, Elsa Adams and Marcos Rosa, her paternal grandparents, 8
Aracelis Valdera and Jose Valdera, and her great-grandmother Florinda Ramos Rosa; and 9
WHEREAS, Yasmary had graduated from The Met High School and was attending 10
Rhode Island College working towards a nursing degree; and 11
WHEREAS, With a personality and beauty that could light up a room, Yasmary was 12
passionate about modeling and the beauty profession, and had already established a successful 13
lashes and nail business in her home; and 14
WHEREAS, Through faith, we believe and trust that Yasmary’s life, no matter how 15
short, had a purpose and has left cherished memories etched into the hearts of her beloved family 16
and friends; now, therefore be it 17
RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby 18
extends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends on the passing of Yasmary 19

RESOLVED, That this Secretary of State be and hereby authorized and directed to 2
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Yangtse Rosa and Amaurys Valdera. 3
