A N A C T
RELATING TO AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE COVENTRY FIRE DISTRICT

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Chapter 806, of the 1889 Public Laws entitled “An Act to 1
Incorporate the Coventry Fire District” and as subsequently amended, is hereby further amended 2
to read as follows: 3
Sec. 3. The annual meeting of said district shall be held on the second Wednesday at a date 4
fixed by the board of directors during the month of November in each year, to be announced at a 5
public meeting of the board not later than the twentieth day of October in each year. Effective for 6
2017 through 2018, the district’s fiscal year shall be from December 1, 2017, to December 31, 7
2018. Beginning on January 1, 2019, and each year thereafter the The district’s fiscal year shall be 8
the calendar year, from January 1 until December 31. 9
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 10

This act would allow the board of directors of the Coventry fire district to hold its annual 1
meeting at any time during the month of November provided the date is announced by the twentieth 2
day of October in each year. 3
This act would take effect upon passage. 4
