| 22 | 22 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 21-28.11 of the General Laws entitled "The Rhode Island Cannabis 1 |

| 23 | 23 | | Act" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 2 |

| 24 | 24 | | 21-28.11-33. Sale of seeds and clones. 3 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (a) Licensees under this chapter shall be permitted to sell cannabis seeds or clones at 4 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | wholesale to any cultivator or compassion center licensed pursuant to this chapter. 5 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (b) The sale of seeds or clones shall be registered and tracked using the state authorized 6 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | regulatory system used to track and trace cannabis sales known as the Rhode Island Metrc and shall 7 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | be subject to the following requirements: 8 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (1) Clones and clone packages shall be entered into the Metrc webpage as strain-specific; 9 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (2) Licensees shall tag each clone in the Metrc webpage once the clone reaches a minimum 10 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | of eight inches (8") in height; and 11 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | (3) Clones, when entered into the Metrc webpage, shall include a certification from a 12 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | licensed Rhode Island cannabis testing laboratory certifying that the clone batch does not contain 13 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | any tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). 14 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | (c) For purposes of this section, "clone" means a cannabis plant that is a genetic copy of 15 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | the mother plant.16 |
