27 | 27 | | Port also generates $45.5 million in total state tax revenue as well as $10.5 million in local taxes; 6 |

29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, In 2022, Rhode Island continued upgrades at Quonset’s Port of Davisville 8 |

31 | 31 | | capacity for its auto import success and in preparation for future wind energy projects; and 10 |

32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Improvements in the waterfront infrastructure located on the west side of 11 |

33 | 33 | | the northeast corner extension of Davisville Pier 2 including, but not be limited to, pier 12 |

34 | 34 | | development and ancillary equipment to develop a dock, dock infrastructure and operate the pier, 13 |

35 | 35 | | including installation of battery clean charging infrastructure are essential to the continued 14 |

36 | 36 | | success and growth of this vital economic facility; now, therefore be it 15 |

37 | 37 | | RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not 16 |

38 | 38 | | otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2023-2024, the sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) 17 |
