2222 It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
2323 SECTION 1. Chapter 16-21 of the General Laws entitled "Health and Safety of Pupils" is 1
2424 hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 2
2525 16-21-42. Availability of feminine hygiene products in universities and colleges. 3
2626 (a) By the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, all universities and colleges whether 4
2727 public or privately run shall make feminine hygiene products available as follows: 5
2828 (1) Feminine products shall be available in all gender-neutral bathrooms and any bathroom 6
2929 designated for females; 7
3030 (2) Feminine products shall be available at no cost to students. 8
3131 (b) For the purposes of this section, "feminine hygiene products" includes tampons and 9
3232 sanitary napkins. 10
3333 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 11
