24 | 24 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 31-10 of the General Laws entitled "Operators’ and Chauffeurs’ 1 |

26 | 26 | | 31-10-49. Autism designations for motor vehicle operators. 3 |

27 | 27 | | (a) The administrator of the division of motor vehicles, in consultation with the Rhode 4 |

28 | 28 | | Island Police Chiefs Association and at least one organization that advocates for persons with 5 |

29 | 29 | | autism spectrum disorder, shall design and make available for persons with autism spectrum 6 |
---|
30 | 30 | | disorder who are capable of holding a motor vehicle operator's license, registration and insurance 7 |

31 | 31 | | identification card the following: 8 |

32 | 32 | | (1) A motor vehicle operator's license that is clearly marked "autism." 9 |

33 | 33 | | (2) Decals that are clearly marked "autism" to be affixed to the vehicle in a conspicuous 10 |
