| 22 | 22 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 24-12 of the General Laws entitled "Rhode Island Turnpike and 1 |

| 25 | 25 | | The Rhode Island turnpike and bridge authority (RITBA) is hereby directed to design a 4 |

| 26 | 26 | | safety barrier and/or safety netting on the Mount Hope Bridge, the Claiborne Pell Bridge, and the 5 |

| 27 | 27 | | Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge. The design of the safety barrier or netting shall commence and be 6 |
