| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 12-1 of the General Laws entitled "Identification and Apprehension 1 |

| 24 | 24 | | of Criminals" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 2 |

| 25 | 25 | | 12-1-10.2. Firearm examination. 3 |

| 26 | 26 | | In the case of every offense in which a firearm is seized, the arresting/investigating police 4 |

| 27 | 27 | | department shall submit the firearm to the state crime laboratory for testing pursuant to ยง 12-1.2-3 5 |

| 28 | 28 | | and also shall submit any information relative to said firearm, including, but not limited to, its 6 |

| 29 | 29 | | make, model, serial number, and ballistics report from the state crime laboratory, to the federal 7 |
