EXTENDING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE P ASSING OF GINA MARIE BACON

WHEREAS, It is with sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Gina Marie 1 
Bacon, the beloved wife of Steven Bacon for thirty-eight years, and the devoted mother of Kyle 2 
Bacon and his wife, Autumn, Andrew Bacon and his wife, Stephanie, and the late Jonathan 3 
Bacon; and  4 
WHEREAS, Born in the City of Pawtucket, Mrs. Bacon was the daughter of Clara Anjos 5 
and Arlindo Anjos, and the sister of her late twin brother, David Anjos, and his widowed wife, 6 
Kathy. She had resided in the Town of Cumberland for many years and was a graduate of 7 
Cumberland High School; and   8 
WHEREAS, With a loving personality, Mrs. Bacon created and nurtured a marriage that 9 
flourished, and a home that was warm and welcoming.  She doted on her family, particularly her 10 
grandchildren Alina and Lucas, who were the light of her life, and her many nieces and nephews; 11 
and  12 
WHEREAS, While her children were young, Mrs. Bacon had taught at New England 13 
Christian Academy and subsequently “found her calling” at Harvest Community Church where 14 
she diligently worked as a trusted bookkeeper; and    15 
WHEREAS, As a woman of great faith, Mrs. Bacon was committed to “serving the 16 
Lord”, “to God’s Word”, to “the ministry”, and devoted to her church. In addition to 17 
bookkeeping, she was a dedicated Women's Ministry Leader for more than twenty years; and 18 
WHEREAS, Mrs. Bacon also enjoyed cooking and baking “the most delectable meals 19 
and sweetest treats” for her family and friends. Her compassionate nature extended to all around 20

her, always providing sage advice, a shoulder to cry on, and infectious optimism; and  1 
WHEREAS, Gina Bacon was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend 2 
and the most fitting tribute to her beautiful soul is a celebration of her life, and although she will 3 
be dearly missed, she will always be in the hearts and treasured memories of her family and many 4 
friends; now, therefore be it 5 
RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby extends deepest 6 
sympathy and condolences on the passing of Gina Marie Bacon; and be it further  7 
RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to 8 
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Steven Bacon, Kyle Bacon and Family, Andrew 9 
Bacon and Family, and Clara Anjos. 10
