Lawson Date Introduced: April 18, 2023 Referred To: Placed on the Senate Consent Calendar WHEREAS, It is with sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Matilda E. 1 Caparco, the beloved wife of the late Michael Caparco, Sr.; and 2 WHEREAS, Born in the City of Providence, Mrs. Caparco was the daughter of the late 3 Carmine and Annamarie Iannuzzi, and the sister of the late Frances Dolce, Grace Caligiuri and 4 Dominic Iannuzzi; and 5 WHEREAS, The Caparcos were the owners and operators of the former Creative Crafts. 6 Mrs. Caparco was also a faithful and religious woman who found great strength and comfort in 7 her faith; and 8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Caparco was devoted to her family, particularly her sons, Michael 9 Caparco, Jr. and his wife, Elaine, and Henry "Cap" Caparco, and her nine beautiful grandchildren 10 and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Thomas Caparco and Joanne 11 Caparco, mother-in-law of the late Hope M. Caparco; and 12 WHEREAS, Matilda Caparco will always be remembered as a compassionate and 13 thoughtful person who led a full and blessed life surrounded by those she loved, and she will be 14 dearly missed by each and every one of them; now, therefore be it 15 RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby extends deepest 16 condolences on the passing of Matilda E. Caparco and wishes her family peace, comfort, and 17 courage at this difficult time; and be it further 18 RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to 19 LC002841 - Page 2 of 2 transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Michael Caparco, Jr. and Family, and Henry 1 Caparco. 2 ======== LC002841 ========
