AMENDING THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE YEARS
2023 AND 2024

RESOLVED, That section 12 of the rules of the House of Representatives adopted by the 1
House of Representatives at its January session A.D. 2023, entitled "House Resolution Adopting 2
the Rules of the House of Representatives for the years 2023 and 2024", be and the same is 3
hereby amended to read as follows; 4
(n) A committee shall only take testimony on a bill if the bill sponsor or another member 5
of the House is present to formally present the bill to the committee. Provided, however, this rule 6
shall not apply to any town or city bill. This provision may be waived at the discretion of the 7
committee chair. 8
