EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES AND AMEND ING THE
MEMBERSHIP OF THE LEGISLATIVE STUDY COMM ISSION ON CLIMATE CHANGE
IMPACT AND SOLUTIONS

RESOLVED, That the special House commission created by resolution No. 361 passed 1
by the House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved June 11, 2024, 2
entitled "House Resolution Creating a Legislative Study Commission On Climate Change 3
Impacts and Solutions” is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a report to the House 4
of Representatives on or before May 14, 2026, and said commission shall expire on June 18, 5
2026; and be it further 6
RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 361 passed by the 7
House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved June 11, 2024, be and 8
the same is hereby rescinded; and be it further 9
RESOLVED, That the composition of said house commission is hereby amended by 10
increasing the membership to eighteen (18) members, by adding one new member who shall be a 11
representative from a geotechnical, environmental management firm, to be appointed by the 12
Speaker of the House. 13

This resolution would amend and increase the membership of the special house 1
commission on climate change from seventeen (17) to eighteen (18), and extends the reporting 2
and expiration dates from May 14, 2025, to May 14, 2026, and said commission would expire on 3
June 18, 2026. 4
