| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, The State of Rhode Island remains committed to protecting the civil rights 9 |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Transgender and Nonbinary Rhode Islanders are facing threats to their very 11 |

| 33 | 33 | | existence and this Rhode Island State House of Representatives will continue to strengthen its 12 |

| 34 | 34 | | commitment to ensuring dignity and full access to public life; and 13 |

| 35 | 35 | | WHEREAS, LGBTQIA+ people, people of color, and particularly trans women of color, 14 |

| 36 | 36 | | face greater disparities in the areas of health, housing, and criminal justice and are many times 15 |

| 38 | 38 | | WHEREAS, Every human being has the right to love freely and live their lives openly as 17 |
