| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 40-8 of the General Laws entitled "Medical Assistance" is hereby 1 |

| 24 | 24 | | amended by adding thereto the following section: 2 |

| 25 | 25 | | 40-8-33. Licensed independent clinical social workers- services covered.. 3 |

| 26 | 26 | | Notwithstanding any general law, public law, special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, 4 |

| 27 | 27 | | Medicaid reimbursement shall be provided under this chapter for services by licensed independent 5 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | clinical social workers and such workers shall be entitled to enroll and bill Medicaid fee-for-service 6 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | directly for authorized and/or covered services provided to adults with Medicaid fee-for-service 7 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | coverage. The director is hereby directed to develop and promulgate a fee schedule and any 8 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | necessary rules or regulations required to implement the provisions of this section. 9 |
