A house RESOLUTION To commend the carolina springs middle school archery team, their coaches, and school leaders for an exceptional season, and to recognize their victory in the 2024-2025 South Carolina NAtional archery in the schools program (NASP) state championship. Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives, is pleased to recognize and celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of the Carolina Springs Middle School Archery Team of Lexington County, who captured the 2025 South Carolina NASP Archery Bullseye State Championship with a tournament-leading score of 3,329, surpassing even the high school division champions by 29 points; and Whereas, throughout the 2024-2025 NASP archery season, the Carolina Springs Archery Team demonstrated unwavering dedication and a pursuit of excellence that exceeded all expectations. From their very first practice, it was clear this group had the potential to achieve something remarkable. Determined to make history, they set ambitious goals: to capture their fifth Bullseye state title since 2017, to once again surpass the 3,300-mark in tournament scoring, a feat first achieved by them in 2019-2020, and to remain undefeated throughout the Bullseye season; and Whereas, throughout the season, the team demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work, accomplishing all their goals. They recognized that their only competition was themselves and, as a result, set a competitive goal for each tournament: to outperform their teammates. This mindset propelled the team to new heights, and ultimately, they proudly secured their fifth state championship in school history; and Whereas, the Huskies achieved remarkable results during the season, including 2024-2025 South Carolina NASP Bullseye State Champions, 2024-2025 South Caroliina NASP IBO Runner Up, Bullseye Competition Season Record 16-0, IBO Competition Season Record: 5-1, Carolina Springs Middle School's Top Bullseye Team Score 3,355 (highest in South Carolina), Top IBO Team Score: 1657 (second in South Carolina). Additionally, the team shot over 3,300 as a group seven times this year, setting a record as the only South Carolina team to achieve this multiple times in a season; and Whereas, the team's success has flourished under the leadership of Head Coach Todd Fulmer and assistant coaches Erin Areheart, Mark Kyzer and John Roberts. Their guidance, compassion, and unwavering commitment have been key in helping Carolina Springs Middle School become the most successful middle school archery team in South Carolina's history. The Huskies attribute their success to their strong teamwork, the ongoing support of their families, and the encouragement of the school's administration, particularly Dr. Patrice Green, principal, for her steadfast backing of the program this year; and Whereas, with admiration, the House of Representatives commends the Carolina Springs Middle School Archery Team for their outstanding achievements and is confident that these young athletes will continue to excel in the future. Now, therefore, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend the Carolina Springs Middle School Archery Team, their coaches, and school leaders for an exceptional season and recognize their victory in the 2024-2025 South Carolina National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) State Championship.
