| 9 | 9 | | A house RESOLUTION TO CONGRATULATE CIELO HOLT UPON BEING NAMED THE 2025-2026 GILBERT HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER OF THE YEAR, TO EXPRESS GRATITUDE FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE TO STUDENTS, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS IN HER EDUCATIONAL CAREER. Whereas, it is a great pleasure to learn that Cielo Holt has been selected 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year for Gilbert High School, a distinction that recognizes her commitment to excellence in education and her profound impact on the lives of students; and Whereas, each school's Teacher of the Year undergoes rigorous screening and assessment in order to be selected as the school's top teacher. This individual exemplifies the qualities of leadership, dedication, and professionalism, and serves as both a role model and mentor to colleagues; and Whereas, Cielo Holt holds a bachelor's degree in education with concentrations in Spanish, English, and French, as well as a master's in teaching English speakers other languages (TESOL), awarded with merit. In 2024, she achieved national board certification in world languages/early adolescence through young adulthood; and Whereas, with a decade of experience in education, including four years at Gilbert High School in Lexington One, Cielo Holt consistently demonstrates her ability to positively influence students, foster inclusive learning environments, and contribute meaningfully to her school and community; and Whereas, she is passionate about cultivating strong relationships, embracing cultural diversity and teaching with purpose, qualities that exemplify the very best in the teaching profession. Now, therefore, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Cielo Holt upon being named the 2025-2026 Gilbert High School Teacher of the Year, express gratitude for her dedicated service to students, and wish her continued success in her educational career. Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Cielo Holt. ----XX---- |
