99 A house RESOLUTION to recognize and honor vivian thomas "tony" Whitlock upon his retirement from the Florence county election commission, and to wish him continued success and happiness in all his FUTURE endeavors. Whereas, since 2008, the Florence County Election Commission has enjoyed the benefit of the dedication of Vivian Thomas "Tony" Whitlock who retired in March of 2023, but continued his service as a volunteer until April 2025; and Whereas, born and raised in Lake City, Tony Whitlock attended Lake City High School and Francis Marion University. He is married to Dianne Holiday Whitlock, and they raised a son Ian Whitlock (Haley) and have a granddaughter Elodie; and Whereas, Tony Whitlock is a pilot who has flown volunteer flights over the years to assist law enforcement and local fire departments with his helicopter. He worked tirelessly to upgrade and improve the Lake City Municipal Airport, C.J. Evans Field, as well as serving on the Lake City Airport Commission and the City Council of Lake City; and Whereas, grateful for his many years of community service and service to the Florence County Election Commission, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives take great pleasure in extending best wishes to Tony Whitlock as he transitions to a richly deserved retirement. Now, therefore, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Vivian Thomas "Tony" Whitlock upon his retirement from the Florence County Election Commission, and to wish him continued success and happiness in all his future endeavors. Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Vivian Thomas "Tony" Whitlock. ----XX----
