| 13 | | - | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: |

| 14 | | - | Section 1. That § 12-21-4 be AMENDED: |

| 15 | | - | 12-21-4. The recount referee shall receive compensation in the same amount as |
|---|
| 16 | | - | court-appointed counsel, and the other two members appointed to the recount board shall |

| 17 | | - | each receive compensation in an amount determined by the governing body of the |
|---|
| 18 | | - | jurisdiction in which the election is held. |
