BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 3
Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 34-25: 4
On or before August first of each year, the Department of Health shall publish on 5
its website, the number of residents of this state who died by suicide during the previous 6
calendar year, and who served in: 7
(1) The armed forces of the United States, as defined in ยง 13-55-7; or 8
(2) The South Dakota National Guard. 9
