A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Celebrating the state championship win by the
Mitchell High School boys basketball team.
WHEREAS, the Mitchell High School boys basketball team earned their first Class AA boys
basketball championship since 2005, with a nearly undefeated season, winning their final
game against Brandon Valley; and
WHEREAS, each individual member and the team as a whole, including Coach Ryker
Kreutzfeldt, demonstrated unparalleled commitment to endless hours of practice and the
pursuit of perfection in their sport; and
WHEREAS, this victory marks Mitchell High School's seventeenth boys basketball Class AA
state championship;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundredth Legislature of the State
of South Dakota, that the state championship win by the Mitchell High School boys basketball
team is a momentous achievement, as well as a testament to the talent, dedicatio n, and
indomitable spirit of this team, and warrants our sincerest admiration and congratulations.
