1717 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 2
1818 Section 1. That ยง 4-7-7 be AMENDED: 3
1919 4-7-7. The head of each budget unit, not later than October fifteenth of each year, 4
2020 shall submit, on forms prescribed by the Bureau of Finance and Management and in the 5
2121 manner deemed appropriate, such explanatory data as required and necessary to 6
2222 adequately convey the budget requests, to the Bureau of Finance and Management 7
2323 estimates of the financial requirements of his budget unit for the next fiscal year. The 8
2424 estimates so submitted shall first receive the approval of the board or commission of each 9
2525 budget unit for which a board or commission is constituted. Not later than the November 10
2626 first following such submission, copies of such explanatory data of the budget requests 11
2727 shall be transmitted to the Legislative Research Council by the Bureau of Finance and 12
2828 Management.On or before September first of each year, the head of each budget unit shall 13
2929 submit, to the Bureau of Finance and Management, on forms prescribed by the bureau, 14
3030 the explanatory data needed to adequately convey the financial budget requests of the 15
3131 budget unit during the next fiscal year and changes to the current fiscal year. 16
3232 If the budget unit includes a board or commission, the board or commission must 17
3333 approve the budget requests before submission in accordance with this section. 18
3434 On or before October first, the bureau shall transmit the budget request data, 19
3535 together with explanatory information, to the Legislative Research Council. 20
