An Act to expand the policy advisory committee for animal damage control. 1
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 2
Section 1. That ยง 40-36-46 be AMENDED: 3
40-36-46. There is created a policy advisory committee for animal damage control 4
consisting of the secretary of game, fish and parks the Department of Game, Fish and 5
Parks, the animal damage control supervisor of the wildlife damage management 6
program, the secretary of agriculture and natural resources the Department of Agriculture 7
and Natural Resources or the secretary's designee, and one representative from each of 8
the following organizations: USDA/APHIS/Wildlife Services, the South Dakota Sheep 9
Growers, South Dakota Cattlemen, South Dakota Stockgrowers Association, South Dakota 10
Farmers Union, South Dakota Farm Bureau, and the South Dakota Wildlife Federation 11
(1) South Dakota Cattlemen's Association; 12
(2) South Dakota Farm Bureau; 13
(3) South Dakota Farmers Union; 14
(4) South Dakota Landowner and Outfitter Alliance; 15
(5) South Dakota Sheep Growers Association; 16
(6) South Dakota Stockgrowers Association; 17
(7) South Dakota Wildlife Federation; and 18
(8) United Sates Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service 19
- Wildlife Services. 20
The committee shall review animal damage control activities and provide 21
recommendations for controlling animal damage in South Dakota this state. The 22
committee shall meet at least once a year. 23
