| 18 | 18 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 68-221-403(a)(10), is amended by | |
| 19 | 19 | adding the following as a new subdivision: | |
| 20 | 20 | ( ) The commissioner may issue a variance within the covered area or | |
| 21 | 21 | jurisdiction under ยง 68-221-410, which shall supersede any more stringent local | |
| 22 | 22 | requirements; | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 68-221-410(a), is amended by | |
| 24 | 24 | adding the following new subdivision: | |
| 25 | 25 | ( ) The commissioner may require a variance granted under this section to be | |
| 26 | 26 | filed and recorded with the county register of deeds with respect to the property subject | |
| 27 | 27 | to the variance. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming law, the public welfare requiring it. |
