17 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-1-345, is amended by deleting the |

18 | 17 | | section and substituting the following: |

19 | 18 | | 4-1-345. Official state foods. |
---|
20 | 19 | | The official state foods of this state are as follows: |
---|
21 | 20 | | (1) Hot slaw; |
---|
22 | 21 | | (2) Memphis barbecue; and |
---|
23 | 22 | | (3) Nashville hot chicken. |

24 | 23 | | SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-1-349, is amended by deleting the |

25 | 24 | | section in its entirety. |

26 | 25 | | SECTION 3. The headings in this act are for reference purposes only and do not |
---|
27 | 26 | | constitute a part of the law enacted by this act. However, the Tennessee Code Commission is |
---|
28 | 27 | | requested to include the headings in any compilation or publication containing this act. |

29 | 28 | | SECTION 4. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
