17 | 17 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-307(c), is amended by | |
18 | 18 | deleting the subsection and substituting: | |
19 | 19 | (1) Except as provided in subdivision (c)(2), a violation of subdivision (a)(1) is a | |
20 | 20 | Class E felony. | |
21 | 21 | (2) A violation of subdivision (a)(1), in which the defendant intentionally obstructs | |
22 | 22 | a highway, street, or other place used for the passage of vehicles or conveyances is a | |
23 | 23 | Class D felony. | |
24 | 24 | (3) A violation of subdivision (a)(2) is a Class C misdemeanor. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2025, the public welfare requiring it. |
