17 | 17 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
18 | 18 | SECTION 1. This act is known and may be cited as the "Tennessee Protection of | |
19 | 19 | Children Against Sexual Exploitation Act." | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 10, is amended by | |
21 | 21 | adding the following as a new section: | |
22 | 22 | A provider of electronic communications service, as defined in ยง 39-17-308, is | |
23 | 23 | prohibited from notifying an account holder, or any other person not authorized to be | |
24 | 24 | notified, of the service or the content of a search warrant or subpoena issued to the | |
25 | 25 | electronic communications service provider if the search warrant or subpoena was | |
26 | 26 | issued in relation to an investigation of the commission of an offense under this part. | |
27 | 27 | SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
