1312 AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 58
1413 and Title 70, relative to hunting licenses for
1514 disabled veterans participating in hunts sponsored
1615 by not-for-profit organizations.

1817 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
1918 SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 70-2-104, is amended by adding the
2019 following as a new subsection:
2120 ( ) The executive director, or the executive director's designee, shall, upon
2221 request, issue a temporary hunting license at no cost to a veteran with any percentage
2322 of service-connected disability for the limited purpose of participating in a hunting
2423 experience that is sponsored and paid for by a not-for-profit organization. A temporary
2524 hunting license issued pursuant to this subsection ( ) must be for a duration that is no
2625 longer than the duration of the hunting experience for which the license is issued, but in
2726 no event may the license be valid for more than seven (7) days. The executive director,
2827 or the executive director's designee, shall accept as evidence of service-connected
2928 disability for the purposes of this subsection ( ) a certification from the veterans'
3029 administration.
3130 SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2025, the public welfare requiring it.
