| 17 | 17 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 1. | |
| 19 | 19 | (a) The Tennessee advisory commission on intergovernmental relations (TACIR) | |
| 20 | 20 | shall conduct a study and prepare a report on recommendations on the continuum of | |
| 21 | 21 | care in this state and how the continuum of care can be improved. | |
| 22 | 22 | (b) The study and report must survey the continuum of care in other states and | |
| 23 | 23 | compare such care to the continuum of care in this state. This study must be conducted | |
| 24 | 24 | from TACIR's existing resources. | |
| 25 | 25 | (c) All appropriate state departments and agencies shall provide assistance to | |
| 26 | 26 | TACIR in connection with the study required by subsection (a). | |
| 27 | 27 | (d) On or before January 1, 2026, TACIR shall report its findings and | |
| 28 | 28 | recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to each member of the general | |
| 29 | 29 | assembly and shall provide a copy to the legislative librarian. The report may be | |
| 30 | 30 | delivered electronically. | |
| 31 | 31 | SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
